Vintage Black, White & Gold "Brama" 6 Piece Coffee Set - Midwinter

A real find! Wonderful 6-piece coffee set in black and white with gold detailing and decoration. They are marked "Brama" on their bases and I believe this pattern was a 1950s one by Midwinter. Not only is the set complete with 6 cups and saucers, it also comes with the original gold coloured leaf shaped spoons and the wire storage frame. I've seen the cups and saucers in pairs or threes and I've also seen a whole 15 piece set but never the metal work! The cups and saucers are in pretty much perfect condition, with only a little colour fade here and there. The spoons are all good, too although the stand and frame have a few bits of discolouration and corrosion but nothing that can't be tidied up.

Cups: 5.5cm x 9cm
Saucers: 12cm

Set 5 Pine Cone Coasters and Holder

A set of five homemade coasters and a holder, made from varnished pine cone slices. Unusual object, was probably a set of six at one time but don't let that put you off as it's a real conversation piece.
Measurements are approximate: 16cm x 10cm x13cm (h)

Coasters: 9cm diameter

Vintage Small Fauna Range Double Spill Vase No 25 - Eastgate

Highly collectable double spill vase from the Fauna range featuring a resting bunny by a tree trunk. It bears the Withernsea Lighthouse mark, dating post 1967,  on the base and form number 25. It has some ingrained grime at the moment which I will endeavour to remove and there is a tiny chip on the top of the top leaf on the right hand trunk but otherwise it is pretty good.

Vintage Studio Pottery Vase

Unusually shaped heavy earthenware vase in cream with yellow and green streaks. The glaze is a bit thin in places and has cracked and whether this is deliberate or not I can't obviously tell but it's an interesting effect nonetheless. Still a good looking vase. No potter's mark.

Vintage Blue Oval Posy Ring No 3 - Royal Cauldon

Very nice looking oval posy ring in a slightly mottled and lightly textured pale blue. It has a faint impressed "3" on the underside of one end. The backstamp is impressed in dark blue and is the style used between 1930 and 1962. One or two faint marks but otherwise in very good condition.

Large Brown Mug or Jug "Explore" by Patricia Ryan - Miam Miam

Unusual large mug in the "Explore" pattern by Patricia Ryan. Now I have to say that as a mug it does seem rather impractical as it's difficult to sip from (I've tried it - the drink arrives quickly as it tips into the bulbous top half. And the spouts are narrow). As a jug however it works better and you don't even need to change hands for pouring left or right. They are though highly popular. Maybe I just don't have the knack. In excellent condition.

Sugar Bowl in the "Astra" pattern by Crown Ducal. In tan with circular designs and white drip glaze, it has the Crown Ducal stamp and the diamond shaped AG Richardson stamp on the base. The marque ended in 1974 so this is 1960s/70s vintage - another pattern presumably inspired by Portmeirion's Totem design. In excellent condition.

Please note this is "Astra" as opposed to the similar "Concorde Astra".

Vintage Hand Coloured Sol Ware Dessert Bowl w/Fuchsias? - JG Meakin 391413

Vintage dessert bowl by J & G Meakin from the Solware range, reg'd design 391413. This one is hand coloured and appears to be of yellow, orange & black fuchsias with a black rim. The Sol range was produced between 1918 & 1963 with many different patterns and colourways so dating is not accurate but judging by the style & colouring I would guess at around 1930- 1950. The colours are good and bright although there has been a little flaking in a couple of areas, the line transfers a little faded too but overall in excellent condition.

16cm x 3.5cm

Small Stoneware Handle-less Jug - Jersey Pottery

Small stoneware jug with unglazed body and no handle. The top, spout and inside are glazed brown and there is an impressed circular design on one side. Cork protector on the base that is stamped with the 3 lions stamp and this is over the usual mark (the cork slipped off while I was washing it - it has re-affixed with the existing adhesive and is very fast). The matt surface has a few marks that may remove with cleaning but otherwise it's in very good condition.

Vintage Two-Handled Vase - Dümler & Breiden 1096

Late 1950s - early 1960s vase by the German maker Dümler & Breiden. Dating is difficult with D & B as they didn't acknowledge partition and use "W.Germany". It is pattern number 480 in a speckled grey white finish with a brown band sandwiched between two textured bands in a nod to the burgeoning fat lava style. There is some blue speckling, albeit in a rather haphazard style and mainly around one handle. This handle also has a bit of a graze with some glaze removed. There is also a small unglazed patch on the rim so it is my hunch that this is a second. Most of the irregularities are on one side so if it's turned round it looks fine!

Vintage Tall "Derby Posies" Mik Jug - Royal Crown Derby

SOLD

Relatively tall fluted milk jug in what appears to be the Derby Posies design by Royal Crown Derby. It has the cypher for 1979 on the base and is in very good condition. The backstamp has been deliberately scratched so it is very possibly a second. Close examination reveals a small imperfection in the lining on the handle, a stray brushmark below the pattern on one side and it is also missing the pattern name. Still very presentable though

Pair of Vintage Pyrex Cereal/Dessert Bowls

Pair of pale red or salmon coloured Pyrex cereal or dessert bowls. They are octagonal with rounded corners and probably quite familiar to anyone of a certain age (we had the blue ones). There is some surface wear, mainly to the base, but please note that while this is listed as a pair, I am pricing it for a single bowl as one has only a couple of very small nibbles to one corner consistent with age while the other has a larger and much more noticeable chip. As the postage won't be affected for UK buyers I'll send both and you can decide.

It is impressed "Italy" on the base; I have seen similar ones attributed to Bitossi but I cannot guarantee this at all so please don't take me at my word!  Two small flea bites on the tail but otherwise great looking. Vintage Yellow and Gold Lined Bone China Sugar Bowl - Aynsley

Bone china sugar bowl by Aynsley. Yellow outside, white inside with gilded scalloped rim and foot, it is not of recent vintage as the mark is not the current syle. The lid in the picture came with it when I acquired it but it isn't original as the glaze is slightly lighter, it doesn't really sit correctly and the hole in the lid suggests it's really from a tea or coffee pot. Let me know if you want it - it shouldn't affect postage. Otherwise the bowl is in fine condition with no major marks or wear.

Vintage Crocodile Skin Covered Cigarette Case - Colibri

SOLD

Vintage cigarette case by Colibri in gold coloured metal with what appears to be a genuine crocodile or snake skin leather covering, although I make no claims for the material at all except that very close examination through a lens suggests it quite possibly is. The case has a sprung hinge and has a spring clip that holds well. There is also a clip on one side to hold the cigarettes in place and again, this works well. There are only the lightest of marks on the inside and very few marks to the covering. A nice looking retro item
