Antique Ceramic House Number Tile - 8

Antique or vintage ceramic house number tile, featuring the number 8 as a bow festooned with violets. I'm not sure who it's by but it does have a registered design number, 563592, but I've been unable to trace the manufacturer. The design was registered in 1910. It has some crazing, one corner is chipped and there appears to be a well established hairline crack from one side to the middle of the 8 but it looks sound enough. Set in place it will be fine though and a steam clean will remove the worst of the ingrained grime. To be honest, I'm pretty certain it is unused, just old!

Vintage Coffee Storage Jar

A small ceramic coffee storage jar in the shape of a sack. There is a matching lid. Unmarked. It is in visibly good condition although it has been used to clean paintbrushes and while all paint residue has been removed, there is a taint of brush cleaner or white spirit. I am working to eliminate this.

Each 13cm x 10.5cm

Wooden Handled Ceramic Bell

Interesting handbell with a textured ceramic bell and unvarnished wooden handle. It has a brass clapper on a brass chain and works perfectly well with a distinctive ring (the sound decays quickly and doesn't ting like brass). In excellent condition

Ceramic Fruit Juicer - Retro

Small ceramic juicer, the right size for a lemon or lime, in speckled grey glaze with a brown rim. It's a few years old (although the design of these hasn't changed for decades) but is in excellent condition. It does have drain holes and a rim on the underside so may have had a matching bowl at one time but it will function equally well on a saucer.

8cm x 4cm  Will fit a bowl of 6cm diameter

Vintage Toast Rack and Oil Bottle - Rayware

Matching toast rack and oil bottle by Rayware. In a very summery blue with sunflowers they are a few years old as the Rayware logo isn't the current one. The toast rack appears perfect, the bottle has two or three chips to the spout, one more noticeable than the others, and is included here as an addition. The weight will not affect UK postage.

Bottle: 16.5cm x 10cm
Rack: 15cm x 8cm x 9cm

Vintage Ceramic Sauce Pan/Frying Pan - Shorter and Son - Jackpot - RARE

This was discovered during the renovation of a house, hidden under floorboards. Nobody quite knows how long it was there so dating it has been difficult. I have yet to find an online reference for the Jackpot range either. It's marked "Oven to Tableware" and also "Detergent Proof". t's decorated with two red-rinded cheeses - Edam? - which maybe suggests something to do with cheesy recipes. Maybe someone could put me right. It's in fine condition with only a touch of crazing and a few little dark marks on one side. That it's so clean and virtually unused makes dating it even more complicated. Smashing looking piece though.
