Vintage Green Stoneware Mug - B R Stoneware, Burton
SOLD
Large heavy mug in green slip glazed stoneware by BR Stoneware of Burton. There isn't much information about B R Stoneware out there but it does seem to confuse some people with some calling it Bretby. The Bretby backstamp is fundamentally different although whether there is a connection, I don't know. In lovely condition though and full of character.
Measurements are approximate: 9.5cm x 11.5cm max diameter incl handle

Vintage Studio Pottery Vase
Unusually
shaped heavy earthenware vase in cream with yellow and green streaks.
The glaze is a bit thin in places and has cracked and whether this is
deliberate or not I can't obviously tell but it's an interesting effect
nonetheless. Still a good looking vase. No potter's mark.

Vintage Bone China Sugar Bowl - H/116 - Adderley
Gold rimmed glossy green bone china sugar bowl. White interior, gilded edge with very small scallops, another gold line below the edge and on the footring. There is a number written on the base, which could be H/116 or 4/116. The backstamp dates from post 1947, the date of this I think around the early 1950s. There are a small number of minor marks on the outside glaze and there are a couple of worn spots on the gilding but it is still a very nice looking bowl.

Beautiful Vintage Green Wax-Resist Vase - Aviemore Pottery
Really lovely small art pottery vase by
Aviemore Pottery, Scotland. A lovely retro shape typical of the pottery
with a speckled pastel green and blue glaze with a wax resist pattern on
both sides. Unintentionally I suspect but one side resembles a
Christmas tree so if you fancy something seasonal - bid up! e to age it
accurately - it could be pre- or post WW2 but however old it is it's in
excellent condition.

Small Square Mint Green Vase or Pot Royal Winton Grimwades
SOLD
Rather
nice cubed pot or dressing table posy vase in mint green with a gilded
edge. The sides aren't straight, being slightly wavy. It's possible this
had a lid at one time but it functions well on its own. The presence of
the "A" quality mark on the base means we can date this accurately to
1951/2 and apart from a little wear to the gilding a few small crazes in
the glaze it's in excellent condition.

Vintage Large Green Celtic Mug - Arklow Pottery, Co. Wicklow, Ireland
SOLD
Very large mug by the now defunct Arklow Pottery of Co. Wicklow, Eire. Very Celtic inspired design with lots of intertwining, knotting and plaiting. I feel I ought to know what the image is, maybe someone out there can enlighten me. Arklow went under in the late 1990s so these are becoming rare. Apart from a little staining on the inside bottom, that will remove with a bit of effort (I've cleaned it up quite a bit), it's in excellent condition. Very nice looking object.

Pair of Vintage Green Stoneware Vases
This is a pair of green aerographed stoneware vases, flared at both ends. While they are ostensibly identical, one is slightly shorter with a slightly smaller base suggesting they are individually thrown rather than moulded. There is a small unglazed spot on the rim of the smaller one, too. The only marking is an impressed W on the base of each. The larger of the two has a few paint spatterings on it that can be removed. The coating, colour, style and moreover, feel, suggest they are of a good vintage, possibly 1920s although I am being deliberately vague and non-committal. A nice pair.
