Vintage Two-Handled Vase - Dümler & Breiden 1096

Late 1950s - early 1960s vase by the German maker Dümler & Breiden. Dating is difficult with D & B as they didn't acknowledge partition and use "W.Germany". It is pattern number 480in a speckled grey white finish with a brown band sandwiched between two textured bands in a nod to the burgeoning fat lava style. There is some blue speckling, albeit in a rather haphazard style and mainly around one handle. This handle also has a bit of a graze with some glaze removed. There is also a small unglazed patch on the rim so it is my hunch that this is a second. Most of the irregularities are on one side so if it's turned round it looks fine!

Vintage German Single Stem Red & Gold Bud Vase - Retro

Slender bud vase in gold edged dark red that graduates to almost black around the lip and foot. The interior is white.The foot and edge are decorated with gold, the line around the edge being slightly worn through use. No makers mark although it is  impressed "Germany" and "52/17" on the base,17 being the height in cm. I think it's more 1960s or 70s (Some German potters did not mark "W" or "West" during the partition). Apart from the wear to the gilding it's in excellent condition.

Vintage German Ceramic Planter by Scheurich

SOLD

A typically German faintly hot lava style ceramic planter from Shceurich Keram. The pattern number is 882 and it's cream around the middle with darker, brown bands top and bottom. The middle is decorated with relief flowers. Vintage - marked W.Germany so before reunification. Condition is fair; some crazing and the top brown band has some water and sun fading.

14cm (d) x 12cm (h)
