Vintage Welsh Pottery Mint Sauce Pot - Beddgelert Pottery

Nice mint sauce pot from the long gone Beddgelert Pottery in Wales. The angled handle was one of their signature designs. Glaze is crazed but otherwise it's in excellent condition.

Vintage Cottage Ware Teapot - Keele St Pottery

Lovely handpainted "Cottage Ware" teapot by Keele St Pottery. KSP changed its name to Staffordshire Potteries in 1950 and this has a Keele St backstamp so I presume it to be pre-1950. There is the tiniest of chips on the tip of the spout that I can only really see using a loupe, apart from this it seems to be in perfect, unused condition.

Vintage Crescent Dish with Handpainted Pear Design - E.Radford

Small oval side dish with a slightly fluted edge by E. Radford. It features a handpainted flower design, one of the late HJ Wood period unmarked ones, I think. Some slight crazing but the pattern is in fine condition, the colours still very strong.

Vintage Historical Map of Scotland - L.G. Bullock

Fold-out paperback pictorial map of Wales by Leslie Bullock from the "Bullock Historical" series published by John Bartholomew. It's an interesting mix of quotes, trivia, pictures and coats of arms covering the history of Scotland. It's 4 x 4 the cover size so a decent poster size when unfolded. The map itself is good quality heavy paper with card covers. From research I believe the series was was published in 1971. The edges are slightly dust marked and there are a couple of green marks that look like pencil on the back cover but otherwise it's in very good condition.

17cm x 25cm folded.

Vintage Studio Pottery Vase - Harmony Pottery

Heavy walled studio pottery vase in brown tones with a wax resist abstract pattern by Harmony Pottery of Cornwall. I can't date it, there is precious little on Harmony out there but it looks like late 50s through to 70s. It's in great condition even though the mouth was a little squashed during throwing!

Vintage Silver Detailed Jug - H.J. Wood Ltd

Large round milk jug by H.J. Wood Ltd. It's cream coloured, with a hand painted silver spout and alternating silver and green lines around the top half. The handle is also detailed in silver. I have no idea of the age and have had no success in identifying the pattern although the stamp says, unusually "Great Britain" rather than England (although the base is impressed "England"). There is a barely visible hairline crack for about 1.5cm, a couple of cm to the right of the handle (with the handle facing) but as far as I can see or feel this is the only fault and otherwise it's a great looking jug.

Vintage Yellow Colourware Leaf Dish - Royal Venton - J. Steventon Ltd

Lovely old yellow colourware leaf dish from Royal Venton by John Steventon and Sons Ltd. The paintwork is all good although there's no black spot on the fruit. There is a small rough area on the underside of the rim where the glaze looks a little thin on the edge opposite the fruit but this is not visible from above and it is otherwise in excellent condition.

Vintage Miniature Red Squirrel Spill Vase - Hornsea Fauna

SOLD

Small squirrel and tree stump spill vase from the Hornsea Fauna range, made approximately between1962 - 73. The back of the left ear has a chip and the very tip of the right ear has a minute chip but these are not really visible from the front so it would make a good collection filler until such time as you're able to acquire a good one.

Vintage Mimosa Sauce Pot - Carlton Ware

Sauce or mustard pot from Carlton Ware's vintage "Mimosa" range. Unfortunately it lacks the brown saucer and a spoon. Otherwise it looks to be in fine condition. There is a little chip to the underside of the rim but this isn't immediately obvious unless you run your finger around the inside.

Large Cobalt Blue Double Handled Jug/vase - Luxor 1001

Tall art deco style double handled jug in cobalt blue. It is marked on the base "Made in England 1001 Luxor" but I have no real idea of the date or the manufacturer. I have seen them listed as 1920s but clues are few and far between. The Museum of Ceramics in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal have a different coloured one but again, no clues! Slight imperfection in the glaze in one spot otherwise it looks to be in fantastic condition.

Brass Toilet or WC Shaped Ashtray

SOLD

Novelty brass ashtray in the form of a close-coupled lavatory. The lid lifts to reveal a bowl with two grooves for cigarettes. The lid of the cistern can be removed so matches can be stored within (although they'd have to be quite small and whether the lid can be used as a strike, I'm not sure). I've not seen one of these before and it would make a great addition to a collection. Made in India label on the cistern. The cistern is at a slight angle although I think this may be an original fault as it looks as though it would be very difficult to fix. Otherwise it's in great condition.

Tortoise Shaped Cast Iron Tea-Light Holder

SOLD

Very novel tea light holder in the form of a cast iron tortoise. One removes the shell, which is located on the base by a pair of spigots, place your tea light inside, light, replace shell and enjoy (allowing it to cool before taking it apart, obviously!). It doesn't look to ever have been used as there's no soot residue inside. In excellent condition.

Vintage Mid Sized Narrow West German Vase - Scheurich 401/20

Narrow West German "flagon" style vase. It is not marked as such but the form number, 401, and the lettering style are those of Scheurich. It is not quite in the "fat lava" style but there are hints toward it in that the cream coloured glaze is more speckled towards the bottom and the surface around the base is rougher in texture. Still very collectable and despite being used (I fished a large lump of oasis out of it) it's in very good condition.

Vintage Large Grey Lustre Jug - Prinknash

Beautiful hand thrown jug with pinched spout from Prinknash Abbey Pottery in their signature grey lustre glaze. Nice heavy base with the rectangular Prinknash impress. I'm a big fan of everything Prinknash but I always find that the handthrown wares have something extra and this one is no exception. Very nice piece in excellent condition.

1941 Map of Switzerland: Sustenpass. Eidg. Landestopographie Bern

Topographischer Atlas der Schweiz - Topographic map of Switzerland from Eidg. Landestopographie Bern. 1:50,000 centred on the Sustenpass. It's 1941 edition and I have to admit there's a certain mustiness about it that suggests it's of an age although it's in excellent condition apart from a single perforation on one of the fold points. The folded size is 20cm x 13.5, open 80cm x 95cm.

Retro Pink Fluted Planter - Thomas Lawrence Falcon Ware 410

Small champagne pink fluted Falcon Ware planter by Thomas Lawrence (Longton) Ltd. The backstamp dates it to the 1950s until the pottery closed in 1964. It has been used and is slightly stained on the inside but there are few marks on the outside and it is in overall extremely good condition.

Hand-Carved Wooden Lidded Trunk Trinket Box

Lovely hand-carved wooden trunk-shaped trinket box with a brass inlay on the top.  The box could do with a bit of dusting around the carving on the top - I have started!  Apart from a couple of small knocks on the left of the lid the box is in lovely condition.

Vintage Handpainted Sugar Bowl - Enoch Boulton?

I'm slightly puzzled by this having never encountered one before. On the base of this simple sugar bowl decorated with blue leaves and little raised dots is "Hand Painted by Bo....." I haven't quite worked it out but it could be "Boulton". Enoch Boulton? But when? There's no clue even to the manufacturer or age so I cannot guarantee anything! Please refer to the photos, which are enhanced. If you need any more inf, please contact me. One small chip on the base but otherwise in excellent condition.

Antique Crested China Bowl - Windermere - Grafton China

Small antique crested ware Grafton China bowl by A.B. Jones Ltd. The crest is of Windermere and there is either an agent's or retailer's mark underneath from R.Robinson of Bowness. Small Green Planter - Churchill Pottery

Small green planter/flowerpot in a green woven leaf pattern from Churchill. I'm unfamiliar with a lot of Churchill's output (apart from their dinner plates!) but I don't think it's too recent, perhaps 1970s - 80s. There's a small scrape in the glaze that doesn't look to be a chip, more an unglazed area but otherwise it's in fine condition and looks fine if the fault is turned away.

Vintage Handpainted Cup or Creamer - Enoch Boulton?

I am doubly puzzled by this. It's definitely vintage, possibly 50s or 60s or even earlier and it's hand painted, however we've been unable to decipher the signature although I'm pretty certain it's a B at the start but after I'm clueless. I think it's "Boulton". If so, is it Enoch Boulton? Did he do anything as subdued as these pretty blue and brown leaves with their raised dots? Also, I'm pretty certain it's a coffee cup but Zoe, my partner, thinks it's a jug. In excellent condition although as I'm sure you're aware, I cannot guarantee anything so I am always grateful for any help.

Vintage Haberdashery Hooks and Loops - Trumpet Brand - Original Sealed Box

SOLD

A vintage box of 48 pairs of size 2 extra japanned hooks and loops. They are the "centre spring" design by Trumpet Brand and they are in the original box which is still sealed with the loop of thread that runs around the box and underneath the label. The design of the box and graphics suggest around the 1920s. If that's the case the box is in excellent condition for its age.

Rare Small Stoneware Vase - Clive Phillip Moore

Small stoneware vase with brown leaf shapes and ring around base. It's by Clive Moore, who potted in Urmston, Greater Manchester in the very early 80s and his mark is visible on the front above the base.
