Small and heavy cast brass jug in the shape of a Scottish thistle with an ornate handle. Marked on the base "Reg No 871817 Britain". I have seen these dated variously as antique or 1953 but I am afraid I am unable to be more precise.

Vintage Double Woven Basket Dish with Fruit - W.H. Goss - Collectable
Vintage cream coloured double dish in the shape of a pair of baskets with a handpainted orange on one edge and a bunch of different coloured berries opposite. It's by WH Goss but in the post sale period of 1930 - 1938. It's faintly crazed and there are a couple of stains beneath the glaze but otherwise it's in very good condition and would make a good addition to any collection.

Antique Large Langley Ware Brown Lidded Jug - Lovatt's Langley Mill
Absolutely beautiful large brown earthenware jug by Lovatt's of Langley Mill. It has a strainer at the spout and an additional one in the lid so could also pass muster as a teapot. From the marks on the base and with reference to a Lovatt's collector's site it has a probable date of 1905, which if true makes its condition - mint or museum quality - remarkable.
22cm x 17cm (across handle)
Weight with packaging - in excess of 2kg

Vintage 12 piece Cup and Saucer Set - Palissy Red Maple
Fantastic complete set of six cups and saucers in the green version of the Red Maple design by Palissy. They are also in the original box. The probable manufacturing date for this set is early 1950s. Palissy is often difficult to date with a lot of deliberate misleads but this would chime well with what the previous owner told me as he thought they had been in his family for at least 50 years. Bar some crazing to each item the general condition is excellent. I haven't found any chips or cracks and the previous owner tells me the box was rarely opened let alone used. The box itself is faded and cracked at the corners but internally it's fine with all slots in place and it holds the cups and saucers very securely.
Cup: 7.5cm (h) x 6.5cm (8.5cm with handle)
Saucers: 13cm

Vintage Studio Pottery Vase - Gansey Pottery, Isle of Man
SOLD
Interesting small wide vase from Gwen Foulger's Gansey Pottery on the Isle of Man, one of the few that takes some of its clay from the sea It's a mottled beige on the outside, speckled sky blue on the inside and shaped a bit like a pint beer glass but shorter and wider. It's in pretty good condition although crazed on the inside towards the bottom. The mark on the base is more of a blown bubble than a chip and looks to be original. I have no idea of the age, it could be anything up to 50 years old.

Large Vintage Green Jug/Ewer - Celtic Ceramics/Kilrush Pottery
Very large angular jug/ewer made by Celtic Ceramics in the 1960s/1970s. Although it's Irish made it has definite German influences which is not surprising as the pottery was Irish/German owned. It ceased production 30 years ago so these are increasingly rare. There is a little bit of crazing and there are a couple of little casting flaws but no damage and condition is otherwise excellent.
This is a very bulky item and I would prefer local pick up as it is not something I feel entirely confident in trusting to a shipping service. I will post but it will be around £13.10 for Parcelforce so please ask if you wish to take the risk. If the buyer is within a reasonable distance it is possible I could deliver for the equivalent postage cost.

Antique Engraving of Manchester Free Trade Hall - AW Scott
A framed and mounted print of the world renowned Free Trade Hall, Manchester. Now a hotel, it's past home of the Hallé Orchestra and venue for some of the most famous rock performances of all times, including Bob Dylan's "Judas" gig and The Sex Pistols' seminal 1976 performance in the lesser Free Trade Hall. It's by AW Scott, the engraving is initialled "EJW". Similar listings claim the original date to be 1898 and the provenance to be "Our Own Country Descriptive, Historical, Pictorial" Published by Cassell and Co. Ltd, although this book was actually mentioned in a Spectator article of 1880 so there's an immediate anomaly! Late 19th Century it is then. The plate is coloured although I cannot tell whether this is original and is annotated "Free Trade Hall, Manchester". There's also a plate or page number, 25. It's framed in a good quality gilded plain frame with wire and eyes and apart from a little edge of the backing tape peeling away the whole item is in excellent condition.

Vintage Yellow and Red Cheese/Butter Cloche - SylvaC - 2327
SOLD
Unusual and fairly rare cheese/butter cloche dating, I think, from the 1940s/50s by SylvaC. Rhubarb and custard coloured with a yellow dish and maroon lid, both decorated with white wavy lines. The dish is marked on the base with the mould number, 2327. In very good condition. There is some crazing to the dish and there's a hairline crack near one corner of around 3cm long although this doesn't appear to be too bad as its discolouration would indicate it's been there for a while without any problems. There is a drip in the glaze near one bottom corner of the cloche and this gives the appearance of being cracked but I think this is an original fault. Condition otherwise is fine, colours are still bright.

Vintage Large White BonBon Basket - SylvaC 1829
Plain white bon bon basket by SylvaC, pattern number 1829. Lovely art nouveau lines (although considerably later!) with nice textured surface to the basket and smooth handle. The pattern number and a number 4 plus Made in England are impressed on the base, SYLVAC being stamped on. Apart from crazing, which could be deliberate crackle glaze, it's in excellent condition.

Vintage Studio Pottery Three Cornered Bowl - Saul, Ventnor

Vintage German Jug
This is a vintage German jug/vase. I have no idea of the maker or date as the base just says "Germany 557". This could easily be from any era - some manufacturers' marks took no notice of partition but the design suggests 50s/60s. It's quite striking, with a run brown/damson glaze over white with a spot of bright orange and green on the handle.

Vintage Art Deco Pewter Tea Set by Craftsman, Sheffield
An Art Deco three-piece tea set by Craftsman of Sheffield. It comprises a squat oriental, magic lamp style tea pot, milk/cream jug and a sugar bowl. They are of a hammered finish, each with a studded band around the waist. The pot has an ornate Bakelite handle and knob. All items are in pretty good condition with the jug having only the most minor bumps, dents and scratches. The bowl is slightly flattened around its waist for about 1.5cm but is otherwise very good. The pot is also in very good condition although the base has suffered a few knocks. This is quite normal as pewter will become malleable with heat and as this has been used many times (tannin stains inside attest to this) it goes without saying that the hot surfaces will doubtless be more prone to some distortion. This may also explain why the handle is slightly off-kilter by a degree or so. Despite this it appears sound; I can't see any cracks and I have tested it with cold water which didn't reveal any leaks. The Craftsman mark was used by Viner's between 1926 and 1939 so this set can be considered a genuine vintage piece and consequently any marks and damage are consistent with its age.
All measurements approx:
Pot: 12cm tall, max diameter incl handle: 24cm
Jug: 7cm tall, 11.5 cm, max diameter,
Sugar bowl: 8cm tall, 13.5 cm max diameter incl handles.
