Rectangular sandwich platter in ivory with orange flowers and handpainted curlicues on the handles. It is marked with the Stafford knot on the base, the Reg Design Number 759766, which was registered in 1930, and the impressed mark "933". Apart from some wear to the flowers it's in pretty good condition with few surface marks.

Large Drip Glaze Jug - Mount Pleasant Pottery, Staffs

Pleasant large water jug in a brown drip glaze over a white ground. It has a turned over spout, I think a feature of this pottery - I seem to remember offering something similar recently. To be fair, I can find very little about the pottery - Mount Pleasant is an area of Fenton and had many works so a search is a bit of a jumble. It's still got the original foil label so is of relatively recent vintage despite being crazed on the inside.

Vintage Silvered Earthenware Sugar Bowl

SOLD

Sugar bowl in a silver lustre glaze with green band. It is unmarked apart from a decorator's mark,  1324/3, but the colour of the clear glazed earthenware clay is very reminiscent of Gibsons or similar popular Staffordshire ware of the early to mid 20th Century. It's in fine condition with only some very light signs of wear on the silvering.
