Vintage Brown Glazed Stoneware Jug - 'B'

Large heavy brown stoneware jug with a dark brown mildly honeycombed glaze. It does have a mark, a 'B' inside a rounded rectangle although the only potter I can find with a similar mark is the late Paul Barron and his work was a little different in style. In very good condition with only a few firing marks.

Large Drip Glaze Jug - Mount Pleasant Pottery, Staffs

Pleasant large water jug in a brown drip glaze over a white ground. It has a turned over spout, I think a feature of this pottery - I seem to remember offering something similar recently. To be fair, I can find very little about the pottery - Mount Pleasant is an area of Fenton and had many works so a search is a bit of a jumble. It's still got the original foil label so is of relatively recent vintage despite being crazed on the inside.

Vintage German Drip Glaze Miniature Jug Vase

SOLD

Nice little jug vase in very typical German multi-coloured drip glaze style. You can just make out the impressed marks on the base - I think it's 572 8 (the height) Germany. Interestingly, look closely with a lens in the right light and whoever applied the glaze appears to have left a fingerprint on the base. These are often with gilded rims and detail although there's no sign of any here and it's in otherwise excellent condition.

Vintage Miniature Ewer Shaped Bud Vase

Very nice little bud vase in the shape of a ewer or pitcher. It has a blue and green drip glaze over the spout and handle, the base being speckled brown. There is a number 5 on the base suggesting it's maybe a part of a series. No other clues as to the origin or maker. In excellent condition.

Vintage Delicate Studio Pottery Stoneware Mug - York Rose Pottery

SOLD

Very delicate waisted stoneware mug from the York Rose pottery. It has a brown drip glaze and small handle. The sides are very thin, only about 2mm at the bottom so it has a very lightweight feel although it does have little touches of the later York Rose designs in the overall shape. It had a huge layer of dust in it when I obtained it so I think it had been sitting around for a few years! One very small flea bit on the rim, just about visible in the pictures otherwise in very good condition..

Small brown drip glazed stoneware posy vase. It has a light tan base with darker detailing and grooves around the shoulder and waist. It is unmarked so I am unable to identify the maker or age it accurately. It is though in excellent condition.
