We look for anything you might think is fun, interesting, beautiful, new, old or odd. Vintage and almost new clothes, ceramics, treen, ephemera, books and costume jewellery. If it fits in a box, we'll sell it.
Lovely
round lidded trinket box in a tenmoku style glaze on coarse
earthenware. There is a faint flower design on the lid. It is unmarked
but in excellent condition.
Beautiful
leaf shaped Japanese earthenware dish with a mixture of clear and
coloured glazes on the top surface. Largely unglazed underneath
although the gold speckles at the tip extend around the underside edges
for about 3cm. It has a mark but I'll only find out the maker's name if I
find it by accident! Excellent condition.
Small
double handled bowl featuring a handpainted sunset and river view. Very
pastoral. It's stamped with a Noritake mark that was in use between
1905 and 1939 although I make no claims for its veracity. The style is
certainly fairly typical of some of their products and the wear consistent with that kind of age. The edges would have
been
gold lined but most is worn away. There's a little wear to the surface
of the bowl but it's not too bad and doesn't really detract.
Set
of five pairs of black and red lacquered chopsticks and rests by Pierre
Cardin. They are slender Japanese sticks and have matt charcoal grey
tips. They are in the original box although regrettably the dividers and
sections of the box are long gone and there are a couple of marks on
the box lid. Very old and unused gift!
SOLD A lovely set of 3 nested vintage
Japanese black lacquer hectagonal boxes which have been in my partner's
family for at least 50 years. There is a charming pattern on each box
in an orange colour and apart from some minor signs of wear (scuffs to
the surfaces and minor scratches - do see the photos), these boxes are
in very good condition. Ideal for jewellery,
trinkets or decoration.

2 porcelain sake cups and sake pourer that my parents bought in Japan when living there in the early 60s-70s. They are decorated around the side in red and blue with 2 blue with red flowers.
They are extremely attractive and were never used at all. There are no cracks, chips or flea bites and the condition is excellent.
A perfect addition to any collection or simply as decoration.
