Vintage Bulbous Stoneware Vase by Gerry Lyons - The Singing Potter

Heavy and bulbous narrow necked stoneware vase by Gerry Lyons, the "Singing Potter" of Moffat in the Scottish Borders. It has an olive green glaze over the top half and a circular swirl on each side. Much of his latter work I believe is inscribed with Christian messages; this one is unmarked. The glaze has dripped in one spot and there is a pre-firing dent in one spot in addition to a couple of small white marks which will probably come off with a bit of effort but it nevertheless has a rustic charm. There is also something rattling around inside it - something I will admit I have not made much of an effort to remove!
