We look for anything you might think is fun, interesting, beautiful, new, old or odd. Vintage and almost new clothes, ceramics, treen, ephemera, books and costume jewellery. If it fits in a box, we'll sell it.
Unusual pump clip for Three Shires Bitter from
the Millstone Brewery on the edge of the Lancashire Moorlands. In good
condition although there he remains from the plastic clip on the back.
Square
sandwich tray or cake dish with two small handles by Mason's. It's in
the Golden Azalea pattern although this one is uncoloured and I think is
referred to as "Golden Azalea Brown". The backstamps indicate it was
produced between the mid 1920s and around 1940. It has some crazing and
some surface scuffs to the edge which I hesitate to term "chips" as they
only just expose the ironstone beneath. Still very presentable
Small
pale blue (a little more green than in the photos) fluted boat vase by
Dartmouth Pottery. One or two small nibbles to each end of the rim and
the ring is a little dull suggesting a hairline crack but although there
is some crazing I can't hear any creaking. Still looks good though.
Great looking pale blue and pink square Calyx Ware/Micratex ironstone dish by Adams. The floral pattern, "Lowestoft", is handpainted as is the orange line around the edge. The stamps and trade names indicate it's from between 1963 & 1966 but it looks much newer. There are a couple of firing faults in the surface and the transfers aren't aligned brilliantly so it's probably a second although visually it's very good and there are very few surface marks.
Small
(2 cup) tea pot by Fosters of Cornwall. It's in the brown honeycomb
design with small lid and accented handle. It is unmarked but I have
seen an identical one bearing the original label so am 100% confident it
is Fosters. It has been used but there is very little staining and no
chips or nips.
Large
and very heavy hollow ball shaped stoneware vase with concave top
pierced with over a dozen holes for either posies or dried flowers. It's
by Padarn Pottery of Llanberis in Snowdonia. I can't find much about
the pottery although I have had some of their items decorated in the
dendritic/mocha style. In excellent condition although there is a faint
bit of marker residue that may well be removed come sale.
Splendid piece of vintage English made plastic. Small round pot with faceted base and ornate ogee edged lid. It's a clear brown tortoiseshell colour with barely a mark on it. Date estimate 1950s/60s.
9.5cm x 6cm diameter For further details look here.
Vintage stoneware gin decanter by Tremar in typical olive green glaze and brown detail. It is missing the large cork - can be obtained from good cookshops - but is otherwise in excellent condition.
Large wine carafe by Laugharne Pottery. Beige outside, dark blue on the inside with a relief plaque proclaiming "Wine". A few smudges and a little chip on the base and no stopper, if there ever was one, but otherwise in very good condition.
Square tray with two small handles by Mason's. Cream coloured with handcoloured floral pattern. There are a couple of small chips, one to the footring, the other to the underside of the rim that isn't too noticeable from above. Approximate date, 1940-50
Stoneware brandy flask or decanter by the Tremar pottery of Cornwall. Part of a series popular in the 1970s that make great retro ornaments. This one still has the original cork and the leather lace around the neck. It is in excellent condition.
Small sugar bowl by Toni Raymond Pottery, handpainted in an orange speckle. I'm not sure if it had a lid at one time but it will survive without one. There is a small chip on the underside of the rim that barely notices and otherwise it's in very good condition,

Charming small wooden frog. In a dark rosewood colour with half its head in a yellow stain. A few small surface marks, mainly to the base but otherwise in great condition.
Pale grey-green unglazed ashtray or pin tray with impressed peacock design at the centre. It's by Bristows of Malta and still has the original foil stamp. In excellent condition.
Large teapot in the orange/beige Oak Leaf pattern by Wood & Sons. Contemporary pattern but the company, one of the more well known of the Potteries' companies, died a decade ago now so these are becoming rarer. In excellent condition.
