Hand Painted Plate w/ Cairn Terrier - A. Orford

Hand painted gold rimmed china plate featuring what can only be described as an impossibly cute Cairn Terrier delivering a letter. It is quite nice and relatively accomplished although definitely amateur. Would definitely appeal to a Cairn lover though. It is signed on the back with a capital A and Orford 1990

21cm diameter

Vintage Celery Storage Jar - Babbacombe Pottery Toni Raymond

Tall square section celery jar by Babbacombe Pottery. It's in the blue chrysanthemum style with the broad stroke script favoured by the Toni Raymond Pottery, who took over Babbacombe in 1967. There are two small chips on the bottom edge, both near corners, one at the front, the other at the back. Neither are serious and aren't too visible in normal use and are just minor battle scars. Otherwise it's in good clean condition.

Handcarved Wooden Tortoise Within a Tortoise Ornament

SOLD

Small hand carved wooden tortoise or turtle. The shell has been carved into a kind of lattice and if you look closely there's a pair of eyes inside and a very rough looking baby tortoise! I'm not entirely convinced but it would certainly fit with similar ornaments of this style. Leaf design on the underside.

Hotel Porcelain Lidded Pot - Royal Doulton

Royal Doulton Hotel Porcelain lidded pot in bright white with impressed rococo design around the lid and bowl. There is a bit of residue from the tape used to hold the lid on in storage, which can be removed, otherwise it's in original condition.

Ivory Hot Water Refill or Small Teapot - Royal Tuscan

Very nice ivory coloured small teapot or hot water pot by Royal Tuscan. It's hotel ware quality and does not have a pattern name apart from a 21 on the base - the band round the rim being the only decoration. It's in excellent condition.

Vintage Small Light Blue Pot or Vase - Fortnum & Mason Ltd

Small pale blue stoneware pot marked with the Fortnum & Mason Ltd stamp on the base. I think it may have originally been for mustard or relish although there's no lid and I've yet to find one with a lid. Neither do I have any clue as to the date although from the style and backstamp I am guessing it's from the early to mid part of the last century. It's in good condition with no scratches, cracks or chips.

Souvenir Match Coin - Manchester Utd v Bolton 17/3/2007 - Boxed

Boxed collectable souvenir match coin for the Premier League match between Manchester United and Bolton Wanderers at Old Trafford on 17th March, 2007. It was a terrific match, United - on their way to the title after a 3 season hiatus (take note) - running riot and winning 4-1 with a brace each for Park and Rooney. The consolation penalty for Wanderers coming from the late and very much lamented Gary Speed. Coin in excellent condition, box a little worn but still sound.6.5cm x 6.5cm x 2cm

Vintage Large Wall Hanging Salt Pig - Toni Raymond Pottery

SOLD

Very large wall-mounted salt pig by Toni Raymond Pottery of Torquay. It is decorated with blue chrysanthemum style flowers and in true Toni Raymond style it leaves the user in doubt as to its function as "Cooking Salt" is written around the finial. The varnish on the lid is a little worn, although the underside of the lid is very clean. The lid doesn't fit all that well and although the seal is in good condition, a slightly wider one may work better.

Vintage Art Deco Blue & Pink Daisies Cake Plate - Shelley

SOLD

Art Deco cake plate in the Blue & Pink Daisies pattern by Shelley. The marks on the back state B 12216, B is the mark for Milton or Windsor but neither seems to fit and 12216 doesn't appear on the few lists I've been able to find either. The stamp though is for 1925-45. It has been well used and there's some surface wear and the colour is a touch faded but there are no chips and it still looks pretty good.

Hand Made Greek Hibiscus Hanging Plate - Lindos Keramik Rhodes - Rodos

Lovely decorative plate, drilled in the footring for hanging. It features a brilliant red hibiscus flower and buds with a gold rim. It's marked on the back "Hand made by Lindos Keramik Asgourou Rodos" with an additional stamp for Keramikos, Greece. It has some crazing and there are a couple of worn spots on the gold rim but it is still a striking plate in very good condition.

Lovely medium sized tree and fawn spill vase from the Fauna Royal range by Hornsea. It's marked "Frisky" on the back and has the number 47 stamped on the base. The Fauna Royal range was produced between 1960 & 1967. This vase in exhibition condition though  could do with a gentle clean to remove dust.

Vintage Miniature New Devon Pottery Blueware Jug - Hexham Abbey

Miniature New Devon Pottery Blueware souvenir jug, inscribed with "Hexham Abbey Founded 674". In generally excellent condition. The dark marks in the photo have been removed, the white patches on the handle appear to be pieces of missing blue blaze although they don't really seem to be chips. There is a glazed over chip on the inside of the rim - this kind of fault was quite common with these mass-produced items.

7cm x 9cm (across handle)

Vintage Pair of Kitchen Storage Jars - Tea & Sugar

This is a pair of green kitchen storage jars with cork stoppers. They are in the shape of sacks, one for tea, the other for sugar. I am not sure who they are by but the labels on their bases state "Made in Portugal" so there is a chance they are by Secla. They are in excellent condition and it's possible they've never been used for their intended contents. Both cork stoppers will need replacing as they have deteriorated somewhat but these can be obtained in good cookshops.

Unusual Conical Stoneware Objet/Wossname

We haven't quite been able to work this out but as our name suggests, we like curiosities. It looks like stoneware; it's covered in a patchwork of russet colours and cream and thick glaze; it's cone shaped with a big hole in the base and a smaller one at the top. You can't fit a tea light in it but it will fit over an incense cone on a plate. Or it will sit on a shelf looking intriguing. It's marked SR on the base and it's in good condition. Unusual.
