brown, pale blue, green and cream jug, a souvenir of Stratford-on-Avon.
And yes, "on" not "upon". Stratford-on-Avon is the larger district
rather than the town itself (although I suspect that's just a happy
accident). The inscription is sgraffito style, scratched through to the
under glaze. It's unmarked and apart from some crazing it's in very good
condition.
