Small jug in caramel glaze with gold handle, spout and
banding. It's by Lord Nelson Ware and is dated 12-74 on the base. A
little bit crazed but otherwise in great condition.
Large brown and silver detailed tankard featuring a
hunting scene on one side and a horseshoe and crop on the other. It is
date stamped 3-69 on the base. It is crazed and the silvering is
somewhat worn in places but overall condition is fine.
Large brown and silver detailed tankard featuring a
bucolic angling scene on one side and aleaping fish on the other. It is
date stamped 11-72 on the base. Some of the silvering is wearing but
overall condition is very good.
Treacle coloured small character jug titled "Old Gaffer" on the base. It does not have a backstamp but I have seen others stamped for Lord Nelson Ware, and coloured ones for Kelsboro Ware. It dates from the 1960s/early 1970s. In excellent condition
Large green and silver detailed tankard with the
lyrics to "Widecombe Fair" (Uncle Tom Cobley) and a cartoon on one side.
It is in excellent condition with no wear to the silvering.
Vintage
milk jug from the "Gaytime" range by Lord Nelson Pottery. Very 60s
design, with birds and flowers in bold colours. It is very slightly
stained to the footring but this may clean off. Otherwise it's in
excellent condition.
Cup
and saucer pair in the Bermuda design of rustic green and brown panels
from the Lord Nelson Pottery. There is what appears to be a date stamp
on the base of the saucer, 4-70, which if it is indeed a date would be
of the right vintage. There are a couple of very small scratches to the
panels but otherwise they are in very good condition.
Large
tankard shaped mug by Lord Nelson Pottery. It's in a treacle glaze with
silvered rim and handle and features a cartoon of an Edwardian
gentleman cranking his motor (ooh er missus) about to be joined by his
impossibly corsetted wife. The opposite side features a small cartoon of
the gent alone in
his car. The mark on the base suggests it was made in July 1979 and
apart from some crazing it's in fine condition. The silvering especially
is totally unmarked. A fine addition to your collection.
Milk
jug in the Bermuda design of rustic green and brown panels from the
Lord Nelson Pottery. There is what appears to be a date stamp on the
base, 1-70, which if it is indeed a date would be of the right vintage.
There are a couple of very small scratches to the panels but otherwise
it's in very good condition.
Inverted
cone sugar bowl in the Bermuda design from Lord Nelson Pottery. This
dates from the late 1960s/early 1970s and is in excellent condition. It
comes with a stainless steel sugar spoon that has been bent into an
unusual shape. Now I'm not sure whether this was an original accessory
or whether someone has tried an interesting variation on an
existing design! The fact that it is slightly corroded around the join
with the bowl suggests the latter but I reserve judgement.
Green
basket pattern mint sauce pot with slotted lid by Lord Nelson Pottery.
Interchangeable with Wyncraft ware. In excellent condition - sadly no
spoon.
