Small
hand carved wooden ashtray comprising two tortoises joined at the tail.
I am guessing it's an ashtray solely because of the grooves just behind
the heads, however it's quite small so could be something else. It's a
very dark red wood, with a purple hue, slightly reminsicent of the
rosewood fingerboard on my guitar (as you may spot, timber
identification is not my forté!). It's a sweet little thing though, an
unusual addition to your tortoise collection and in excellent condition.
