Beautiful
studio pottery lidded sugar bowl or preserve pot in blue temmoku glaze,
plain brown on the inside. The lid is different in that it sits on the
pot quite precisely by virtue of a large groove. The centre of the
underside of the lid has the same glaze, otherwise it's unglazed. On the
top of the lid is an impresssion of what looks
to be a cypress frond. There is a mark on the base, a painted A with a
stroke across the top but I am unable to reference this. It is a very
lovely looking pot and in superb condition.
