Beautiful
light blue oil pourer from the "Riviera" range by Buchan Stoneware.
There were three Riviera patterns, this is the abstract one. The stamp
on the base is the impressed thistle and M7 - 185 and a 256. The
painter's mark is a star. It comes
complete with stopper although I think there may well be a missing cork
as the stopper has a threaded shaft as though to take a seal of some
kind. Riviera dates from post 1956, the condition of the base suggests
it could well be of that vintage. Apart from the missing seal the bottle
 is in
fine condition and there doesn't appear to be any stale taint from the
inside.
