Large Pink Conch Shaped Planter - JM Shannan Stevenson

Large pink ceramic planter in the shape of a conch shell. it still has the makers or distributor's labelon the base, JM Shannan Stevenson but I can find little about them save that the company ran between 1974 and 2006. This label looks fairly old so I'm guessing this to be 70's or 80s. In very good condition though with no chips or cracks.

Vintage or Antique Ebony Dressing Table Manicure Set Stand

SOLD

Vintage dressing table stand that was once part of a four piece manicure set. Unfortunately I don't have the constituent parts but there's no reason why it can't still be used with modern implements.   Unscrews to four parts with all threads good. A few surface marks consistent with age and some sticky label residue otherwise in excellent condition.

12.5cm x 5.5cm

Vintage Small Brown Betty Style Teapot

Brown Betty teapot in Rockingham glaze with two cream bands. Of good vintage, possibly 1920s or earlier, it is unmarked save for "Made in England" impressed and stamped on the base, with a "54" also impressed. It is possibly a Sadler but the finial doesn't quite look right .  It is in excellent condition with only a few marks. The sleeve on the lid has had a knock but this has only roughed up the glaze a little (see pic). Nice pot.

Vintage Small 1/4pt Crock "Hotspot" Tableware - Langley Pottery

Small (1/4pint) individual stoneware crock pot or casserole in bright blue glaze. It'sfrom the "Hotspot" range by Langley Pottery, the post 1967 incarnation of the Lovatt/Langley/Denby concern and features the windmill backstamp. A little bit of light crazing but in allother respects it's in fine condition.

Kitchen Storage Jar - Tea - Toni Raymond Pottery

Large kitchen storage jar by Toni Raymond Pottery of Babbacombe. These were produced in a couple of colourways and for many different items, this one is a tea caddy. It is a little crazed and I have taken some wire wool to the lid to remove some staining but you may want to restain or varnish it. The seal is good though

18.5cm (incl lid) x 12.5cm (lid) 10.5cm without lid

Small Blue Ringed Studio Pottery Vase

Small posy vase in grey speckled glaze with blue rings. Despite its appearance it's quite a delicate pot with relatively thin walls. The base does have a mark, what appears to be a stylised GP or FP but I can't identify it. I have had one before, quite a while back but if someone enlightened me at the time I can't remember! It's in lovely condition.

Colourful Ceramic Donkey - Konakovo, Russia

Charming handpainted holloware donkey made by Konakovo Faience of Russia. I am uncertain of its age, I have seen them listed as 1950s before but there was often a "CCCP" counter stamp in red alongside the factory mark on Soviet era wares and that is missing on this. Bar a small nip to one of the ears it's in very good condition.

Vintage or Antique Ebony Hair Tidy

Lovely ebony dressing table hair tidy with screw top. The thread is still pretty good and it unscrews well. These were used to collect ladies' hair combings to use as stuffing in pin cushions or similar (or even to help maintain their hair colour in later years). Sadly a previous owner appears to be unaware of the correct use and has used this as an ashtray and while the top is fine the inside is a little tainted. I have wiped it clean but there is a slight smell.

Miniature Handpainted Mug or Coffee Can - Delft

Miniature mug or coffee can, handpainted in the typical blue and white Delft style with windmills and flowers. The mark on the base bears similarity to that of Delft Pottery, or De Delftse Pauw, but as with most modern Delft a mark is no guarantee of provenance. It is in very good condition.

Vintage Black Fleur de Lys Vase -Constance Fry Design? The Pottery, Fulham

SOLD

Small black vase in the shape of a fleur de lys with a beak shaped mouth. It is by the Fulham Pottery (or The Pottery, Fulham to give it its proper name). The design has been attributed by others to Constance Spry, the pioneer floral artist, who designed a range of vases for Fulham in the 1930s. Although those vases were mainly white, I have seen this model in white before and as the mark impressed into the base is "CS3" it wouldn't be beyond reason to suspect otherwise.  It is in near perfect condition.

Pair of Antique or Vintage Turned Ebony Candlesticks

SOLD

Fine pair of turned real ebony candlesticks. Age uncertain but they are impressed "Real Ebony" on their bases. They have been used and do have one or two small surface marks but nothing drastic. The bases do unscrew but the one I tried had been cross-threaded and the the thread is partly worn so I would not advise undoing either. They are sound though and won't fall apart!

Large 23cm Antique Stoneware Ink Bottle Size 6 - Doulton Lambeth

Very large dark brown salt glazed stoneware ink bottle by Doulton Lambeth. The oval Doulton stamp bears an impressed 6. There is a small chip just above the base and a couple more on the base as one might expect of a bottle of this vintage but it still presents very well. Fine item and would make a great ornament or unusual single stem vase

Vintage Hunting Side Plate - The Last Draw - Copeland Spode

SOLD

Side plate from the Hunting Scenes series based on the drawings of J.F. Herring, this scene No 2, "The Last Draw". The series was produced for several decades and I'm uncertain when this particular one was made so I am hedging my bets and guessing 1950/60s. There are no cracks or chips but one or two age and usage related surface marks soin very good condition generally.

16cm diameter

Vintage Handpainted Square Sandwich Tray - Golden Azalea - Mason's

Square sandwich tray or cake dish with two small handles by Mason's. It's in the Golden Azalea pattern although this one is uncoloured and I think is referred to as "Golden Azalea Brown". The backstamps indicate it was produced between the mid 1920s and around 1940. It has some crazing and some surface scuffs to the edge which I hesitate to term "chips" as they only just expose the ironstone beneath. Still very presentable
