Retro Iridescent Orange Sugar Bowl - PALT Czechoslovakia

Retro iridescent orange sugar bowl from PALT, then of Czechoslovakia (or Czecho-Slovakia as stated by the backstamp). It is impressed 372 on the base. The colour, white interior and black rim give it an almost enameled look. Very small flea bite on the rim otherwise very good.

9.5cm x7cm (h)

Vintage Handpainted Blue Ashtray - Dragon Pottery Rhayader

Crimped edged ashtray by the Dragon Pottery of Rhyadar. At least I think it's an ashtray - it could be used for anything.  It's in the less common handpainted blue pattern and while it has the expected crazing and a couple of very tiny stains it's in very good condition.
12cm x 3.5cm

Vintage Daisy Milk Jug - Kernewek Pottery, Goonhavern

Milk jug from the Daisy range by Kernewek Pottery of Goonhavern, Cornwall. Steadily dwindling supply of these since the pottery closed in 2005 and while there is a little bit of wear to the gold line around the rim (another feature of this design) it is otherwise in every good condition.

11cm (h) x 12cm across handle

Vintage Yellow "Salad Ware" Plate 1617/6 - Carlton Ware

Large salad ware dish, pattern 1617/6 in plain yellow. It is unmarked on the back apart from an impressed 1617/6, which is a Carlton pattern (and I've had one before!). There are a couple of small and well disguised chips on the square end and some of the edges are a little worn (the darker marks) but some careful cleaning may be able to remove some of these if they are stains. Additional, the colour in real life is rather brighter and a bit more yellow than in the pictures.

18cm x 18.5cm

Large Wooden Fruit Bowl

SOLD

Large and solid wooden fruit bowl. Stained tan with a lovely grain. There are a few scratch marksand a couple of very small dents, mainly to the inside, and some red ink stains on the surface of the bowl. If you're up to it, a few hours work with some wire wool and a bottle of varnish will have this restored very nicely.

Set of 6 Vintage Welsh Themed Whiskey Glasses - MC Reims - Jenny Jones

Boxed set of 6 small whiskey shot glasses, dating I suspect from the 1960s, each with an identical decal of a Welsh "Jenny Jones" at a spinning wheel with a mountain backdrop. They are in their original box, the card mount of which bears the legend "Six Hand Decorated Welsh Whiskey Glasses". I think hand decorated is a bit of a stretch as a description although they do have gold rims and the decals were probably applied by hand! Apart from a little wear to the rims they are in excellent condition and the box and mounts, apart from being a little dusty, show no wear.

Box Size: 18.5cm x 16.5cm x 5.5cm
Glass size: 5.7cm x 4.7cm

Vintage Art Deco Jug - H & K, Tunstall Hollinshead & Kirkham

SOLD

Hand painted jug by H & K (Hollinshead & Kirkham) of Tunstall. It is from their Art Deco era output but isn't one of the highly collectable "Delicious Dozen", although it is one of the shapes that were used, with the same style handle, pinch spout and ridge. It is quite crazed but still clean and is otherwise excellent condition.

Vintage Small Terracotta Posy Vase - Artisan

SOLD

Small posy vase in an unglazed terracotta. It is well thrown but the impressed triangle, lines and dots pattern is a little haphazard. Despite this it has quite a rustic charm. It has a definite African feel but that may just be coincidental. It has a few little dents and scratches from throwing but no chips or cracks. Some staining but again, this may be original.  7cm x 8.5cm

Vintage "Gaytime" Sugar Jug - Lord Nelson Pottery - Retro 1960s

Vintage milk jug from the "Gaytime" range by Lord Nelson Pottery. Very 60s design, with birds and flowers in bold colours. It is very slightly stained to the footring but this may clean off. Otherwise it's in excellent condition.

Large Handpainted Water Jug - Shorter

SOLD

Very large and visually striking handpainted water jug. The painting over the embossed floral design is quite crude and it is marked on the base "Hand painted by Shorter England". Whether this is Shorter & Son, I don't know as the backstamp doesn't really match anything of theirs I can find. If it is, it is at least 50 years old and in that case it's in extremely clean condition and with only a minimum of crazing. Regardless, it is a very distinctive display piece.

18cm x 12.5cm x 17.5cm (across handle)

Vintage Green Glazed Swan Planter - Blue Mountain Pottery, Canada - Collectable

SOLD

Highly collectable swan shaped planter by Blue Mountain. It's in the green reflowing glaze with the base being slightly brown coloured, this denoting I believe an earlier model, although I cannot confirm this and have no idea of when the model was first produced. I think it's possibly 1960s/70s. It has the three pine mark and also the round blue and silver three pine sticker on the base. It's in fine condition

Kitchen Storage Jar - Currants - Toni Raymond Pottery

Large kitchen storage jar, helpfully disposing of any dilemma you may have about what to store by being clearly labelled "Currants". The wooden lid fits well although the varnish is flaking off so will need a bit of restoration. The glaze has crazed somewhat but in all other respects the jar is in excellent condition. Indeed, I doubt it has ever been used.

Ting Footed Bowl LS 1012 - Royal Doulton Lambeth Stoneware

A Royal Doulton Lambeth Stoneware goblet or chalice shaped footed bowl in the Ting pattern, LS 1012 with embossed floral pattern and brown rim. Lovely retro look, design from 1974. In near faultless condition with only a little bit of colour loss on the brown rim. Decal on inside of pedestal has slipped and what with the slight loss of coloured on this hitherto unused (acquired in original manufacturers plastic sleeve) I assume this to be a slight second. Regardless, it is still a lovely looking piece and a fine replacement.

11cm x 9cm

Hand Painted Lidded Bone China Trinket Box - Jean Mercer

Lovely hand painted lidded trinket or dressing table box by Jean Mercer English Bone China. The lid is painted with an autumnal looking leaf and berries, the box in a multicoloured spotted brown. There's a small sprig of berries painted on the inside. In excellent condition.

Dimensions: 13cm x 9cm x 4.5cm

Vintage Small Vase - Gordon Fox/Kentmere

Small Terracotta and brown glaze vase with impressed floral and lined pattern on the side. It is signed "Fox" on the base and the similarity of the pattern to others I've researched I'm confident this is by Gordon Fox of the Kentmere Pottery in Cumbria. It's in excellent condition although there are some small pops in the glaze.
