Vintage Summer Fruits Pin Tray - Honiton

Small light tan coloured pin tray or ashtray by Honiton Pottery. It features a summer fruits design  with blackcurrants, raspberries and gooseberries. I think it was meant to be square but this one is a little offset and is very slightly lozenge shaped, which makes it a bit of a novelty.  In all other respects it's in excellent condition.

Set of Three Rustic Stoneware Goblets - John Bailey

Three lovely stoneware goblets by the Gloucestershire potter and artist, John Bailey. They are fairly vintage as the sticker bears a pre-1995 telephone number but are very contemporary in design and appearance. They are somewhat rustic, none of them are identical in shape or size. The glaze has been applied with abandon to the extent that on two it has pooled in the base of the bowls and has been marked, although not to their detriment. This and a small chip on one rim (back right goblet) and another very small chip on the underside of the base of another are the only faults and otherwise they look very impressive.

Each goblet: 16cm x 10cm approx

Ceramic Oil Drizzler

SOLD

This is a new and unused pear shaped oil drizzler in a light olive coloured crackle glazed finish. It has a metal pourer and cork stopper. It has a mark, a smiling sun, but I am unable to trace this. It also bears a label around the stopper giving instructions on sealing the inside of the bottle. In obviously excellent condition.

Vintage Ceramic Tankard or Mug- Lord Nelson Pottery

Large tankard shaped mug by Lord Nelson Pottery. It's in a treacle glaze with silvered rim and handle and features a cartoon of an Edwardian gentleman cranking his motor (ooh er missus) about to be joined by his impossibly corsetted wife. The opposite side features a small cartoon of the gent alone in his car. The mark on the base suggests it was made in July 1979 and apart from some crazing it's in fine condition. The silvering especially is totally unmarked. A fine addition to your collection.

Vintage Collectable Miniature Finch Cheese Dish (Boxed) - Palissy

SOLD

Lovely miniature cheese dish in the "Finch" design by Palissy in the Royal Worcester Spode era. This dates it to between 1976 and 1989. I'm not sure which finch is featured on the lid, it appears part gold and bull, but I'm no twitcher. Close examination appears to show none of the images to be identical but whether it is handpainted, I can not say. It is in the original box but there's no documentation. Condition is excellent bar a little crazing.

Small Lidded Speckled Wood Pot - Possibly Red Palm

SOLD

Lovely lidded speckled hand-turned wooden pot which could be made from Red Palm but I am not 100% sure of the wood.  It is pretty solid yet fairly light if that helps. There is some discolouration and a few scratches around the side from daily wear and tear but this pot should polish up beautifully.

Vintage Posy Log

Very nice log shaped posy vase. I can't make the backstamp out - I feel I ought to know but the pertinent bit's too faint. It is somewhat crazed, more noticeably on the inside but otherwise it's in excellent condition.

Yellow Lustre Art Deco Style "Jane" Jug or Vase - James Sadler

SOLD

Beautiful yellow with petrol lustre jug with gold edging in the "Jane" pattern by Sadler. It bears the post 1947 ribbon mark but the design is resolutely deco in style. The interior is crazed and there looks to be a short crack in the glaze near the handle but this doesn't appear on the outside and when tapped it doesn't sound cracked. The gilding is near perfect. The only exterior surface fault is a small air blow in the glaze on the shoulder near the handle join, about 5mm across, that reveals the rough surface of the underglaze where a bubble has breached the surface. It's noticeable only from the side and isn't a massive detraction from the overall effect. It's still a lovely looking piece.

Vintage Small Bowl or Vase - Knight's Tintagel Pottery

Small bowl or vase by Leonard Knight's Tintagel Pottery. It has a ring of small holes around the turned in rim and is in the familiar black glaze. Not quite sure what the purpose is - the holes are too small for posies or buds but it could be used for anything you want. In excellent condition.

Vintage Stoneware Posy Ring - Hillstonia - Moira Pottery
