Three
lovely stoneware goblets by the Gloucestershire potter and artist, John
Bailey. They are fairly vintage as the sticker bears a pre-1995 telephone
number but are very contemporary in design and appearance. They
are somewhat rustic, none of them are identical in shape or size. The glaze has
been applied with abandon to the extent that on two it has pooled in the
base of the bowls and has been marked, although not to their detriment. This and a small chip on one
rim (back right goblet) and another very small chip on the underside of
the base of another are the only faults and otherwise they look very
impressive.
Each goblet: 16cm x 10cm approx
