Small Antique Earthenware Lidded Jug - Possibly Doulton or Gibsons

SOLD

Small reddish brown earthenware jug with hinged pewter lid. It has a couple of marks on the base, a P and a 2 but no maker's name. It is similar in shape to some of the Doulton Lambeth jugs of the late 19th & early 20th centuries but it could be from anyone, the style being very common. It's in excellent condition though, although the thumbrest from the lid has broken off. Still a great looking piece.

Large silver lustre teapot in the Georgian design by Gibsons. Gadrooned rim and bottom half with matt black handle and lid finial. There are a few light wear points and a couple of stains that may polish off but by and large it's in very good condition. It has been used but staining inside is minimal and there is very little crazing inside, hardly any of which is stained. Nice impressive retro piece.

Vintage 1950s Jasper Style Relief & Gold Lustre Jug - Gibsons

Large gold lustre jug with blue & white jasper style relief band. Dates from the 50s and has some age related wear, mainly partial loss of gilding to the bottom 4cm or so and the handle, crazing to the inside and on the blue band and also a short, faint hairline crack running for about 3cm into the band. It is still a nice looking decorative object and could easily serve as a vase.
