Vintage Kitchen Storage Jar - Tea - Toni Raymond

Large kitchen storage jar by Toni Raymond Pottery of Babbacombe. These were produced in a couple of colourways and for many different items, this one is a tea caddy. It is a little crazed and I have taken some wire wool to the lid to remove some staining but you may want to restain or varnish it. The seal is good though

18.5cm (incl lid) x 12.5cm (lid) 10.5cm without lid

Studio Pottery Stoneware Storage Jar - Muchelney Pottery

SOLD

A lot of interest in this one already - A splendid stoneware storage jar by John Leach's Muchelney Pottery on the Somerset Levels. It's not their current toasted finish, rather a speckled creamy wash but the shape is the same, down to the distinctive score line around the centre. Needless to say, it's in excellent condition.

10cm x 13cm

Vintage Stoneware Beef Dripping Jar - Pearson's of Chesterfield

SOLD

Small beige stoneware kitchen storage beef dripping jar. Fill it up with the juices from the roast and smear it on some lovely hot crusty white bread for Grandad's favourite healthy tea. Or just store pencils in it. Pearson's ceased production in 1994 so their wares are becoming more difficult to find in good condition. This however is in a fine state.

Vintage Lakeland Green Heirloom Storage Jar - Hornsea

SOLD

Small Lakeland Green storage jar in the Heirloom pattern from Hornsea. Still with original wooden lid and seal, which, although a bit hard, is still working well. Replacements are available though. While the jar and lid are very clean, take the lid off and there is a slight taint which I think is from the underside of the lid. It does smell vaguely of tobacco although other Hornsea items I have with good condition lids seem to exude the same scent so I'm guessing it can't be. It's in extremely good condition for a 1975 vintage item so ironically it could be because it's never been used and the wood has remained untainted.

Vintage Autumn Brown Heirloom Tea Caddy - Hornsea

SOLD

Small Autumn  Brown tea caddy/storage jar in the Heirloom pattern from Hornsea. Still with original wooden lid and seal, both of which are are in very good condition - the seal especially so (the lid has a small chip to the edge and some vague rings on the top from being underneath something). While the jar and lid are very clean, take the lid off and there is a slight taint which I think is from the underside of the lid. It does smell vaguely of tobacco although other Hornsea items I have with good condition lids seem to exude the same scent so I'm guessing it can't be. It's in extremely good condition for a 1975 vintage item so ironically it could be because it's never really been used and the wood has remained untainted.
