BNiB Souvenir Parian China Millennium Claddagh Trinket Box - Belleek

Heart shaped Parian china trinket box by Belleek Pottery in the Claddagh Pattern. It features on the lid a pair of hands holding a heart surmounted by a crown with a gilded edge. Around the side is a Celtic plait. The base feature the Millenium 2000 backstamp so this piece can be accurately dated to 1999 or thereabouts. In excellent condition, in original box and wrapping.

Small cylindrical trinket box with domed lid. Off white in colour with blue design, marked with what appears to be "Fez" so presumed to be Moroccan. It certainly has all the hallmarks! Excellent little item and in fine condition.

Miniature Cobalt Blue and Gold Trinket Box Lys Royal - Limoges

Small oval trinket box in cobalt blue Limoges "Véritable Blue de Four".from Lys Royal. Gold decoration, including the obligatory courting couple after Fragonard. It does have a couple of little chips to the edges of both the body and lid but when the lid is on these are barely noticeable and it is still a nice little display piece.

Charming oatmeal coloured small trinket box in the shape of a cottage with a thatched roof as the lid. It's by Mike Hendrick's Charmouth Pottery, which flourished between 1967 & 1993, the cottages being produced more probably towards the latter end of that period. They are now quite sought after. Small Hand Turned Wooden Lidded Pot or Trinket Box

Small wooden lidded pot, hand turned and waxed although I don't know the timber. It's a little shallower than it looks, only 7cm deep inside. The base flares out and it also has a very faint neck before flaring slightly to the rim - not really apparent from the photos - so it's actually quite an interesting piece of work. A couple of drying cracks but otherwise in very good condition.

Small Wooden Lidded Trinket Box

 

Small round wooden trinket box with lid. It looks to be home turned rather than bought as while the finish is good on the outside (apart from some later surface marks and a ), it's a little rough on the inside. However, it's no less useful or attractive for it. It has a felt lining on the underside of the lid and some more on the base although that's started to fall away.

Leatherette Covered Wooden Trinket Box - For Refurb

Small fibreboard treasure chest shaped trinket box. It has a leather effect covering with an elasticated lace lattice across the lid and the front of the base. It is lined inside with brown flock covered paper. Let's be honest here, the brass clasp and hinges are the best bit of it. The covering is starting to come unstuck and the laces won't last much longer. But...although it is basically a cheap chipboard box with a thin bit of veneer on the base, it is quite sound and the hinges and clasp are very good. A craft hobbyist could really do something with this (and if this is your intention - I'd love to see a picture of the finished results)14cm x 10cm x 8.5cm

Vintage Plastic Tortoiseshell Dressing Table Powder/Trinket Box - Halex

This is an imitation tortoiseshell pot in lightweight plastic by Halex. Halex is probably more familiar as the manufacturer of most of the world's table tennis balls but it had a huge range as the major producer of finished plastic goods in the country for several decades after its formation in 1939. This was probably part of a dressing table set at one time as it smells strongly of face powder. Some light scratching and a couple of marks on the inside base from something hot - it has melted although not all the way through. I am guessing from the 1950s - early 60s. Nice retro item.

Rather delightful little lidded pot, stamped on the base "Real Ebony". It does have a hairline crack in it, visible in the photos, but this doesn't detract and it's perfectly functional otherwise. It looks to be of some vintage judging by the patina but has very few signs of wear.

Hand-Carved Wooden Lidded Trunk Trinket Box

Lovely hand-carved wooden trunk-shaped trinket box with a brass inlay on the top.  The box could do with a bit of dusting around the carving on the top - I have started!  Apart from a couple of small knocks on the left of the lid the box is in lovely condition.
