Large
capacity teapot, about the size of a small watermelon, in a very
Japanese inspired design. I am unsure of its provenance. It is unmarked
but someone has written "Jap Portreath Pottery" on the base in blue
marker. I can find no reference to a pottery in Portreath so it's a bit
of a mystery. The design is a fairly common one, used by many studios so
no clues there, either. It has loops each side of the lid for a bamboo
or wicker handle so a degree of craftmanship will be required to make
this serviceable but in all other respects it's in excellent condition.
