Cruet
set comprising salt and pepper pots in the shape of what could be whelk
shells. The mustard pot has a vague shell shape also and all three sit
on a scallop shell. They are from the late era Carlton Ware, probably
1970s, (the backstamp is the post 1968 decal style) and are a
pinky-brown colour. The mustard pot has a tiny chip on the finial and
the salt pot a small chip in the glaze running from the hole, something
that isn't uncommon with salt pots, and otherwise the set is in good
condition despite having been used. The original rubber stoppers are
still in situ.
