Vintage Large Black Ravenstone Vase - Wedgwood

SOLD

Large trumpet and bulb shaped vase in gloss Ravenstone finish with fluted bulb and base. San serif impression, pre-1974 backstamp  " stamp and what could be a year mark for 1969 (or conversely an 8). There are several small faults: there is a small faint chip just visible on the inside of the rim that has been fairly well repaired and it looks as though someone has re-coloured around the rim to hide some blemishes. These two are more visible in very brioght sunlight but in normal light and in use will be barely noticeable. There is also a firing mark on the bulbous base in the form of a 2cm long line, this can be turned away. But it is still an impressive vase and these rarely come up for sale in this size

21cm x 14cm diameter
